After a two day reading binge, I finally completed Psyren. I was totally blown away. By the end of the first chapter, I knew that I was hooked. This manga never once loses its pacing, period. From the very beginning all the way through its phenomenal ending, Psyren is truly a masterpiece. The story is compelling, and it just keeps getting more interesting every chapter.

Story (5) - Unlike other manga that drag out a story into the hundreds of chapters, Psyren sticks to its guns and completes the story in under 150 chapters. Every moment of the story is pure genius, and the plot remains consistent the whole time. The way the author pieces the puzzle together as the story progresses is just simply amazing. Everyone in manga could learn a thing or two about writing a story from Psyren.

Dialogue (5) - There were many great lines throughout Psyren. The characters don't have cheesy, uninteresting dialogue that's meant to be filler. The use of dialogue to inform the reader about specific plot points is always highly interesting, and it doesn't confuse you the way some manga do.

Animation (5) - The art style was clean and appealing. Rarely was a character way over-designed, and even then it was usually someone monstrous to begin with. The battle sequences were intense, and the emotions of the characters really shined through.

Entertainment (5) - I really wish I could give this a 6. Psyren may be the most interesting manga ever written. Sure, its short compared to pieces like the Big 4, but that's not a reflection on its entertainment value. I was captivated by this manga, and couldn't stop reading. I lost sleep over this manga because I HAD TO KNOW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT.
