Summary:
Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by giants. Giants are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of giants.
Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a giant in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as one of the city walls is damaged by a 60 meter giant causing a breach in the wall. As the smaller giants flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as Eren's mother is eaten alive.Unable to save her , Eren vows that he will wipe out every single giant and take revenge for all of mankind.

Won the 35th Kodansha Manga Award for Best Shounen Manga.

Firstly Indeed this series is as addicting as coffee speed and texting all rolled into one. The story is certainly of a different cast compared to what we have become accustomed to of late. The art style is perfect, though in my oppinion there is no wrong art style by design its ll in the eye of the beholder. The story is a interesting and accurte slant on what it would prpbably be like if mankind was ever truly on the verge of extiction. Its deffinately mature the best compariosn i can make to this manga is Gantz, which is impressive in its self, bolth are of the horror survival genre but they bolth rise above and beyond all you expect, the plot is addicting full of plot twist and subterfuge. Nice part here you get to see every side oof the characters the growth if fenominal and all in all this read is just perfect, i recomend it idf you ever liked Gantz.
